Blue Light FilterPCBlue Cut
Blue Light Filtering PC Lenses
Blue-cut filtering polycarbonate lenses for screen and indoor use
A blue-light filtering lens carries a blue-cut layer that manages the high-energy visible end of the spectrum. In an eyewear range it is a comfort feature rather than a glare-control feature, and it is specified separately from polarisation.
What defines this product
- 01
High-energy visible light
The blue-cut layer targets the short-wavelength end of the visible spectrum, which is where the comfort question in screen and indoor use sits.
- 02
Independent of tint
Blue-light filtering and tint depth are separate properties — a clear lens can carry a blue-cut layer.
- 03
Pairs with other layers
Can be specified alongside hard coat, AR, hydrophobic and UV400, subject to a compatibility review.
- 04
Polycarbonate base
Impact-resistant base material across the full blank range.
