Polarised PC Lenses for Driving and Water Sports

Polycarbonate lenses with an integrated polarising film

Reflected glare is the problem a polarised lens solves. Light bounced off a wet road, a car bonnet or open water arrives polarised horizontally, and a polarising film oriented to block that plane removes the reflected sheet of glare without darkening the whole scene to the point of unusability.

Price on request — every order is quoted against the confirmed specification. Price is not published because the unit cost depends on the lens dimensions, thickness, base curve, coating stack and order quantity you select.

Key points

What defines this product

  • 01

    Glare, not brightness

The film targets the reflected component of light rather than reducing overall transmission.

  • 02

    Integrated film

The polarising film is built into the lens construction rather than applied as a surface layer, which affects thickness and cutting.

  • 03

    Grey tint baseline

The polarising effect gives an even smoky tone across the lens. Other tints are available on specification.

  • 04

    Polycarbonate base

Impact-resistant base material suited to driving and sport frames.

Where this lens is used

Driving eyewear, fishing and water sports, cycling and any outdoor activity where glare comes off a flat reflective surface at eye level.

Ordering

How to order

  • Send the requirement

Lens type, base material, dimensions, coating stack and order quantity.

  • Drawing or sample

A drawing, CAD file or physical sample for cutting to a custom shape.

  • Quotation

We confirm the producible specification, the unit price and the lead time.

  • Sample, then bulk

Sampling available. Bulk production follows on from an approved sample.

Polarisation efficiency and light transmission figures require confirmation of the measurement basis, sample and report before publication. Note also that a polarised lens chosen for daytime driving is not automatically suitable after dark, and a polarising film can affect the reading of some instrument displays.

Company metrics that are not part of our published profile — plant area, headcount, annual capacity, year of establishment, certification numbers and report scopes — are intentionally not shown. We will provide verified figures on request.
