Product description
These ski lenses are part of a sports lens range, typically using a PC substrate. They are available as finished lenses and semi-finished blanks in highly curved spherical and cylindrical styles for ski goggles.
Developed for strong snow reflection, intense ultraviolet light at high altitudes and fogging caused by temperature changes, they support high-contrast dedicated tints, polarization, photochromic treatments and colorful REVO coatings. Long-lasting anti-fog performance suits alpine skiing, snowboarding and other outdoor snow sports, helping protect against snow blindness.
Features
- The PC substrate provides excellent impact resistance against ice, snow and branches. The thin, lightweight material fits highly curved ski goggle frames.
- Optional polarization reduces widespread reflected snow glare and helps ease eye fatigue during prolonged viewing in snow.
- Built-in UV400 protection blocks ultraviolet light across the UV range, helping protect against intense high-altitude UV reflected by snow and related snow-blindness injuries.
- A long-lasting anti-fog coating on the inner surface reduces fogging caused by large temperature differences at ski resorts and maintains clear vision while skiing.
- Photochromic treatment can automatically adjust lens darkness with changing ambient light. REVO mirror coatings, hard coatings, and water- and oil-repellent coatings can also be applied.
- Semi-finished blanks support contour cutting of spherical and cylindrical shapes for a variety of goggle housings and further processing requirements.
